Since opening my studio 3 years ago in the historic downtown area of McKinney, I have become enamored with the town square. I have found vendors to support my studio, places to dine, places to be entertained, and most importantly a place my wife loves to shop which makes my life easier on important dates (Christmas, birthday, Valentines, Anniversary). One of the best finds, however, is the On the Square blog run by Beth Barton. Beth updates the list several times a week with current information that I am rarely aware of yet always find interesting. It is definitely worth checking out often.
Redazzle II, with a year’s experience, made a leap forward from last year’s original event. The floor space was doubled, the lighting was improved and the runway was better laid out. I was able to get the same vendor space as last year which is right across from the food. This year, Cafe Malaga was the featured caterer which meant there were lots of people by my table all evening. I would like to see the silent auction run a little better so that Hope’s Door gets the benefit of more donations, but overall I was very impressed. Below are a few images from models representing Swanky Boutique, Flirt, Prima Donna, and Vintage Baby as well as the Redazzle tables. Hopefully I didn’t miss any one.
This Thursday, February 25th, Trendsetters International will host their 2nd Annual Redazle charity event for Hope’s Door. I supported the inaugural show last year by photographing the fashion show and contributing to the silent auction. I will be at the Cotton Mill this Thursday evening to support this worthwhile cause and hope you will join me.
Carter, a local model and actor, came in for headshots recently to update his portfolio. I have photographed Carter before and enjoy working with him. He is a great kid and one day I may be able to say I photographed a major actor when he was young. Here are a few out takes from Carter’s session.
While the upcoming Valentines Special is beginning to fill up, we still have openings for this Saturday, January 30th and a few on the following Saturday, February 6th. Here are a few images of the models which were the parent’s favorites.
