• Welcome to my Blogsite

    Thank you for dropping by! I am a contemporary portrait artist serving McKinney, TX and the greater Dallas Metroplex area. My studio, located in the Historic Flour Mill in downtown McKinny, offers a distinctive setting unduplicated by any other area photographer. Selecting Gallery on the menu bar will display the artistic images that define my style for portrait and wedding. Choose Seniors to see the 2010 Seniors along with pricing and news for highschool graduation pictures. My blogsite allows me to share artistic images I have captured along with occasional personal details of my life. Please take a few moments to look around, leave a comment (I love comments) and consider subscribing to my RSS feed above so you will be notified of future updates. From Ashton's mom I've got to confess. . .I've done absolutely NOTHING all day but look at Ashton's pics and David's website. I had a list of things to accomplish and haven't done a thing other than sit in front of this computer in awe of David and his work. His talent is absolutely amazing!! We had a great time and are so so happy with the results.

    From a senior's mom David - I was just reading your blogs and I just had to tell you how many many people are posting comments on Billy's myspace page about the pictures you took! I just can't believe you got these - he hates his picture taken at school, but he really warmed up to you and felt comfortable. His friends are all raving about them. He looks like a model anthem. Wow! Everyone loves them, we can't wait to see the rest. You are amazing and we will tell everyone about you in Leonard. Nancy

{McKinney, TX Newborn Portraits}

Stephanie and Michael came in around the holidays for maternity portraits and I have been very excited for their new arrival Tristan. He finally showed up and we created some wonderful newborn portraits – just ask Tristan’s grandmother, Terry! Below are a few of my favorites.

Spangle Family {McKinney Family Photographer}

Kellee and Steve recently came in with their girls for family portraits. I was excited to hear they were interested in black and white relationship portraits. I really love these for families because when you remove the color, what remains is the emotion and stability that is part of the family relationship. Below are some of my favorites, both in black and white and color.

On the Square in McKinney {McKinney Photographer}

Since opening my studio 3 years ago in the historic downtown area of McKinney, I have become enamored with the town square. I have found vendors to support my studio, places to dine, places to be entertained, and most importantly a place my wife loves to shop which makes my life easier on important dates (Christmas, birthday, Valentines, Anniversary). One of the best finds, however, is the On the Square blog run by Beth Barton. Beth updates the list several times a week with current information that I am rarely aware of yet always find interesting. It is definitely worth checking out often.

Redazzle Fashion Show {McKinney, TX Photographer}

Redazzle II, with a year’s experience, made a leap forward from last year’s original event. The floor space was doubled, the lighting was improved and the runway was better laid out. I was able to get the same vendor space as last year which is right across from the food. This year, Cafe Malaga was the featured caterer which meant there were lots of people by my table all evening. I would like to see the silent auction run a little better so that Hope’s Door gets the benefit of more donations, but overall I was very impressed. Below are a few images from models representing Swanky Boutique, Flirt, Prima Donna, and Vintage Baby as well as the Redazzle tables. Hopefully I didn’t miss any one.

Redazzle Charity Event {McKinney, TX Photographer}

This Thursday, February 25th, Trendsetters International will host their 2nd Annual Redazle charity event for Hope’s Door. I supported the inaugural show last year by photographing the fashion show and contributing to the silent auction. I will be at the Cotton Mill this Thursday evening to support this worthwhile cause and hope you will join me.
